Polished Concrete

Polished concrete is an economical flooring solution that offers industrial strength while exhibiting the raw beauty of concrete.  The process involves grinding the concrete surface with finer and finer diamond tooling. The multi-step process allows for choice of sheen, anywhere from matte to a high gloss finish.

As the floors is being ground a hardener or densifier is applied to strengthen the floor, increase abrasion resistance and stain resistance, while decreasing natural concrete dusting.  Stain guards are typically applied as a final step to add even greater stain resistance. Stains and dyes can be applied to change or enhance the color of the concrete.
