Epoxy Quartz
Epoxy Quartz or Quartz Broadcast Floors are a decorative resin floor consisting of layers or resin and multi-colored quartz sand. These high build coatings created with 100% solids epoxy and quartz offer excellent impact resistance. The multi-colored patterns help camouflage dirt while maintaining a clean look.
Epoxy Quartz floors are typically done in a double broadcast. The resulting floors are between 1/8” and 3/16” thick. A polyurethane or polyaspartic top coat provides additional chemical resistance and abrasion resistance. Epoxy Quartz floors meet ADA, USDA, FDA, and OSHA standards and are VOC compliant and contribute to LEED.
Quartz aggregate is available in fine (Q28) and coarse (Q11) sizes. The larger quartz produces a higher build and more durable floor, although both offer much greater impact resistance than other types of coatings.
Quartz flooring is designed for institutional, commercial and retail spaces where a durable, easy to clean and sanitary surface is desired. They will stand up to medium to heavy duty use. Typical applications include food preparation, laboratories, restrooms, food service, clinical sites, pet care, and garage floors.
